Accessibility statement

Conformance status

The goal is conformance with WCAG 2.1 level AA (EN 301 549). Conformance has not yet been fully verified. So far, testing has been automated (axe-core across the main pages) plus keyboard tests; manual screen-reader testing is outstanding.

Implemented

• Full keyboard operation, visible focus, skip link to content.
• Menu and dropdowns with correct ARIA states; hamburger menu on small screens.
• The map is never the only source of information: every map element is also available as a list.
• Colour is never the only distinguishing feature; text contrast meets AA.
• Motion is disabled when the system "reduce motion" setting is on.

Known limitations

• The interactive map (MapLibre) is only partly usable with screen readers and loads only after clicking "Load map"; the list view is the accessible route.
• Embedded YouTube videos are outside our control; captions depend on each video.
• Some content is sample content and not yet editorially reviewed for comprehensibility (no easy-read or sign-language version).
